How the business started.
Happy Pianos Tuning and Servicing, began when Dewald came back to South Africa after completing his training in the US of America, and completed his exams to be a registered Piano Technician with the PTG "Piano Technicians' Guild of America".
After working for a company for a few months, he decided to start his own business, and build up his own customer database.
He started off in Bloemfontein, and moved to Kempton Park in 2021.
With a little bit more competition, he is not only working in Gauteng, but travels to various towns, covering: Gauteng, North-West, Free State, Northern Cape,, Eastern Cape, and Kwa-Zulu Natal.

Happy Pianos is not a big factory-size business, but more a one-on-one business, where we come and assess your piano, and recommend the type of service that suit your needs.
We will never sell you something you don't need!
We also source out some of our more intense repairs, because we do all our work in a small workshop in our garage. We always try to do our best, and we deliver good-quality work.
Dewald is a pianist himself, and if there is anything that isn't right, he'll fix it, sometimes at no extra charge.
He is visually impaired, and started playing piano after he became blind at the age of ten.
Lee-Anne, his wife drives him around, and helps out with some repairs. And drinks coffeee with the customers, while Dewald works.
