How the business started.
Two moms and friends started Lesedi Educational Materials with a desire to create educational resources that were affordable and helpful to parents and teachers who seek to create a fun learning environment. Our vision was to create tools that encouraged learning through play at a high standard from an early age to set children up for success in the school years. We also desire to create more resources in home languages to encouragement more parent involvement in their child's learning.

We offer educational resources that are play-based and affordable, available in multiple South African languages. We focus on resources for children ages 1 to 6 mainly to give a good foundation for learning. We offer homeschooling year plans to help parents teach their children at home as well as classroom resources to support learning in schools. Our products range from playdough to puzzles to activity books to math kits.
Our Delivery Service.
We offer R100 flat rate courier delivery throughout South Africa (door-to-door) as well as collection points within Pretoria.
We also offer bulk discounts to schools who wish to purchase for 10+ students and PDF downloads of most resources to make it affordable for families and schools.
Qualifications!
Heather Drew is a qualified Foundation Phase teacher with most of her experienced focused on teaching Grade R. She is a homeschooling mom with children in a range of grades from 5th down to Grade R. She also has additional experience from teaching English as a second language and helping students learn a second language.
Lerato Hlungwane brings to the table a degree in Operations Management and she is currently also pursuing a teaching degree through UNISA and homeschooling her 2 children who are in grade 1 and grade RR.
